Ambiance 100% Food 75% Service 50%. We go every Christmas Eve but I must say we were disappointed this year. Waiter was preoccupied. We looked for him too many times. Lino nice try.

Wonderful experience we had this past weekend. Service was amazing. From the moment we were greeted and seated. Our server Karen F. Was absolutely wonderful. She went over the special menu explaining and answering our questions and concerns. Ordered drinks. Along with the Artichoke Orgenata. Which was the best we have ever eaten. Followed by Perfect Filet Mignon with Sautéed Spinach. For myself a perfect Rib Eye. Of course we had to have and share the Napoleon, and coffee. Perfect Dinner. Great Evening Planning to return with family for a wonderful dinner.

Food- 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Every time I come here I leave happy and satisfied! The food is delicious and the drinks are too! The service is A+ and the specials are my go to's! We started with a delicious heavy bread. It's pictured and appears to be homemade. They also come around with a tray of a bread assortment to choose from while you wait for your dishes. I was very hungry so no apps straight to the mains. I usually try the chicken parm which I did. Fried cutlet patty and standard tomato sauce. Also comes with vegetable and side of pasta. I also had the duck with a cherry sauce that came with rice and vegetables. I also ordered a side of mashed potatoes. Everything ordered was delicious! The servers were exceptional helpful and knowledgeable! 2 thumbs up and would def return!! Thanks for a great pre-city excursion meal. It's also conveniently located literally right at the Mineola LIRR train station!

I have been coming here for dinner with friends for some time and i decided to hold our post-memorial service dinner here. They worked with me on the phone at this difficult time and made the experience as simple as possible, from which room to book to which menu was appropriate. I also love that they never rush us through dinner here. The artichoke appetizer is one of my favorites, and the tuna is always fresh and tasty. The portions are generous. It has a family feel that is missing in so many places today. The place has so much character as well that the young ones enjoyed exploring and checking out the memorabilia. Don't miss the old vending machine in the women's restroom.

Came back two years later and still find it to be an awesome place to dine with friends. The tables they offer have a lot of comfort. The service is impeccable and it's easy to communicate with each other since there is no blasting music. There are menus given to you at the table and also boards filled with specials and offerings.

Came here with friends for a birthday celebration dinner. Nice and spacious with ample parking in the restaurant parking lot in the back. Love the decor inside and very spacious. Staff and service were good. Menu options plentiful along with specials of the day (written on the white board which they will bring closer to the table or read to you). They have a wine menu and specialty cocktails too. Complimentary bread and bruschetta to start with while you wait for your food. Appetizers: We ordered the crispy calamari and grilled octopus to share. Both were good. Entrees included: Ahi tuna au poivre, bacon wrapped shrimp (was ok), prime rib (was ok), chicken francaise, pork osso. Make sure to save room for dessert... or better yet, check the dessert out before you eat your entrees. Plenty of options with some homemade desserts as well - napoleon and chocolate mousse. Cappucino for some, tea for others. If you eat here frequently or plan to, sign up for their rewards program. Just for signing up you get 200 points ($10 discount to use). Can use it or save it up for a bigger dinner party. Will be back again for dinner again soon when in the area.

We were meeting friends at a restaurant they had chosen where we had never dined in the town of Mineola. At first, we were wondering why they chose a restaurant a distance away from where we all resided, but later discovered the reason. Davenport Press is located on the corner of Main Street and Front Street right next to the railroad tracks and buried around tall buildings. We learned that the Georgian & Federalist style Davenport Press Restaurant is now a structure building designated as a historical landmark. The building was erected 118 years ago to be Nassau County Trust building, converted into a printing press, then later a restaurant. When you enter the restaurant, to your left is a cozy traditional, but elegant bar set in its own room. The dining room is a traditional cozy unassuming piece of early history of Mineola. The service was excellent, and our dining experience was delightful. We had ordered onion soup and an artichoke for appetizers, and lamb shank, shrimp, and swordfish for our entrees. All the meals were delicious. We highly recommend a visit to this restaurant, and we will surely be back often.
